Who we work with

Everyone is welcome at Grow Health and Therapy Hub. Whether your child has a formal diagnosis, developmental delays or you feel they just need some additional support, we’re here to help.

Lyndal is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian and mum of three specialising in paediatric and disability nutrition. She has expertise in family‑centred care, home enteral nutrition, blended tube feeding, and supporting children with feeding challenges including sensory feeding challenges, extreme fussy eating and ARFID. Curious, empathetic, and collaborative, Lyndal partners with families and multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence‑based, compassionate care.

Reports & Assessments

Our paediatric dietitian provides clear, NDIS-aligned reports to support your child’s needs, including NDIS funding applications, plan reviews, and letters of support.

Each report is tailored to outline your child’s goals, nutritional needs, and recommended supports in a practical, family-centred way.

Referrals

If you have funding through the NDIS or the Thriving Kids program, you will need a referral from your GP or Maternal and Child Health Nurse (MCHN).

Private clients, including those accessing private health insurance, can self-refer, with no formal referral needed.

Info about Medicare rebates for Dietetic Services (for non-NDIS participants):

Some families may be able to claim a Medicare rebate when their child sees a dietitian. If your child has a long‑term health condition, your GP can set up a Chronic Condition Management Plan (sometimes called a GP Care Plan). This plan allows you to access up to five subsidised visits each year with allied health professionals such as dietitians, speech pathologists, or occupational therapists.

The current Medicare rebate for dietitian services is $61.80 per session. Families pay the full consultation fee upfront, then claim the rebate back from Medicare. If you’ve reached the Medicare Safety Net, you may get a higher rebate.

It’s important to know that the rebate doesn’t cover the full cost of the session (see session pricing above), so a gap fee will apply. Your GP can let you know if your child is eligible and help set up the plan.

FAQs

Common questions about Paediatric Dietetics

What does a paediatric dietitian do?
A paediatric dietitian supports children with feeding, growth and nutrition. At GROW, this includes early feeding, starting solids, allergy support, fussy eating, sensory‑based feeding challenges, growth concerns and even tube feeding.
Families often seek support when they notice slow growth, feeding difficulties, extreme picky eating, suspected or confirmed food allergies, challenges starting solids, or mealtime stress. If you’re unsure, we’re always happy to guide you.

Yes. We provide evidence‑based guidance for allergen introduction, allergy prevention, elimination and reintroduction diets, and ensuring nutritional adequacy for children with food allergies or intolerances. We work closely with paediatric allergists for shared care.

Your first session focuses on understanding your child’s feeding history, growth, medical background and your goals. You’ll leave with clear, practical recommendations tailored to your child’s needs.

No — families can self‑refer. We also welcome referrals from GPs (including Chronic Disease Management Plans eligible for Medicare rebate), paediatricians, paediatric allergists, allied health professionals and NDIS coordinators. Families are welcome to contact our team directly or book a free Care & Connect call with our paediatric dietitian, Lyndal, to discuss their child’s needs and explore whether dietetic support is the right fit.
