Supporting Children, Teens & Parents with Depth, Experience and Heart.

At Grow Health and Therapy Hub, our Registered Counsellor has over 20 years of experience across community health, early parenting, family services, and mental health settings. Robin offers counselling that is grounded in attachment science, infant mental health, and real-world family life.

She works with children, teenagers, parents, and pre- and post-natal mums who may be navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, behavioural challenges, trauma, relationship stress, parenting complexity, or neurodivergence.

Meet your Registered Counsellor

Our therapists are more than professionals. They are compassionate guides on your family’s journey.

About Robin

I hold a Master’s qualification in Counselling and am trained in creative and expressive therapies, allowing me to work developmentally and flexibly — especially with children and adolescents who may struggle to articulate their inner world verbally.

As a mother of four (aged 4–20), raising a neurodivergent and neuroaffirming family, I bring lived experience alongside professional expertise.

I understand firsthand navigating complex medical care, the school system and advocacy processes, parenting through diagnosis journeys, blended family dynamics, and the emotional labour of holding everything together.

Approach

My work is attachment-informed, trauma-aware, developmentally responsive, neuroaffirming, strengths-based, and systemically aware.

  • I believe behaviour is communication.
  • I believe parents are doing the best they can with the resources they have.
  • I believe children need safety before strategy.
  • I believe healing happens in relationship

Registered Counselling Fees

Sessions with our Registered Counsellor are $182.18 per session. Medicare rebates are not available for counselling, however some private health funds may offer cover depending on your level of extras. In many cases, the out-of-pocket cost is comparable to seeing a psychologist under a Mental Health Care Plan.

When families seek support for their child, teenager, or their own parenting journey, a common question is whether to see a psychologist or a counsellor.

Professional counsellors are highly trained mental health practitioners. Many hold Master’s degrees, extensive clinical training, and decades of frontline experience working across community health, schools, psychiatric settings, and family services.

Psychologists are trained in assessment, diagnosis, and formalised testing. Counsellors are often deeply specialised in relational, attachment-based, trauma-informed, developmental, and family-focused therapeutic work.

The most important considerations are qualifications, experience, therapeutic fit, and whether your child and family feel safe, understood, and respected.

It is not about hierarchy. It is about alignment, expertise, and relational connection.
